Cartoon Network's first original series was The Moxy Show and the animated satirical late-night talk show Space Ghost Coast to Coast. On August 19, 2024, an official Cartoon Cartoons YouTube channel was officially launched, although it's actually a rebranding of the old official YouTube channel of the Boomerang app. As part of the 20th anniversary of Cartoon Network, Cartoon Planet revived Cartoon Planet in an effort to gain more audience. Jeez, how do I remember Cartoon Network before that abomination of Out Of Jimmy's Head premiered and it will ruin Cartoon Network.
This generated little speculation among fans due to the fact that Cartoon Network could have kept Teen Titans on the schedule, but decided to replace it with a show that is already airing again on the network in the afternoon. June Bugs was an annual 48-hour marathon of Bugs Bunny cartoons that began the first weekend of June 1993. When the new year began, Cartoon Network began using some of the series currently airing on Teletoon. DC Comics published an anthology comic based on the general title of Cartoon Cartoon. The series continued to be published from March 2001 to October 2004 with a total of 33 issues.
The network broadcast cartoons, that is, after July 1948, and the black and white cartoons owned by Sunset (which Warner Brothers had reacquired in the 1960s). Cartoon Cartoons is a collective name for the original Cartoon Network series that premiered before 1996. After a brief renewal, Super Chunk was replaced by Cartoon Olio, which premiered on July 7, 2001 and last aired on June 1, 2002. In August 2024, the official Boomerang YouTube channel was renamed the official Cartoon Cartoons YouTube channel. Years later, this version was frequently used in promotions for Cartoon Cartoon Summer and Cartoon Cartoon Primetime. On October 2, 2002, coinciding with the tenth anniversary of Cartoon Network, Cartoon Network broadcast a one-day special to commemorate its tenth anniversary.
By now, almost all of Cartoon Network's classic cartoon programming had moved to its sister network Boomerang to make way for new programs. Cartoon Planet is an animated variety show that originally premiered in 1995 on TBS Superstation and continued airing from 1996 to 1997 on Cartoon Network. It first appeared during the Cartoon Cartoon Weekend marathon (broadcast from November 6 to November 6) and became a permanent add-on to every original Cartoon Network program until the network's name change in June 2004.
